Phenomenal noodles at a great price! Can't recommend this place enough, we got the spicy knife-cut noodles and they rocked

It looks like a little hole in the wall, but definitely don't miss out on this place! I've tried a bunch of their noodles with my family, and we all agree it's the perfect comfort food. Firstly, the portion sizes are HUGE. Everything is delicious, and you can't go wrong. My personal favorite is the beef knife sliced noodles since these noodles have a little more bite to them than the other two types. It also comes with pickled vegetables and cilantro in the soup, so be sure to let the lady know if you don't like either of those. The stewed pork noodles are also incredible, but it is on the oiler side.

Food is amazing! Cash only so be prepared. They service is great and staff is friendly and helpful. The area is nice and quiet and street parking is easy.

This is one of my favorite no frills hole in the wall spots! It's a mom and pop shop run by a mother and her son. They make Chinese food that is more Southern style (I believe they're from Yunnan) and are consistent with their quality of food. They're cash only, super old school since they don't do delivery or have a phone number and are only open on certain days of the week (at the time of writing, 4 days a week). So be sure to check the posted store hours before you go! If you get any of their noodles it always comes with a side of their homemade chili oil and it's so fragrant and flavorful! It has a little hit but isn't too spicy. It's one of my favorite parts of their noodle dishes and honestly they should probably bottle and sell it. They have a few types of noodles: regular noodles (wheat), knife cut noodles (much thicker and they have an irregular texture) and mixian (rice noodles). Their mixian is very smooth and a good option if you want a slightly lighter noodle. I opt for the knife cut noodles when I want some texture and something heavier. They also have a few vegetable dishes that are simple but give you some balance if you like veggies with your meal. My go tos are the spicy noodle of my choice with the meat sauce or the non spicy version with meat sauce. In our most recent visit I got the spicy mixian with meat sauce and my partner got the mixian with meat sauce with an added egg. You'll see the chili oil pictured as well. I also included a picture of the stir fried cabbage from another visit! Though a bit out of the way if you're not in NJ, I've now managed to introduce the spot to two of my friends and they liked it as well! I'm always happy when I come here and we'll continue to frequent Lucky Foo. I'm so glad they survived Covid and still seem to be doing well. We'll keep coming back as long as they're open!

Delicious noodle soups in a no-frills grandmom and grandpop run shop. They are so legit they have textbooks both free and for sale, and the grandma who mans the register and is also the sole server knows just enough English to take your order. I have come here twice in the past week already. I have tried the knife cut and hand pulled noodles in spicy meat sauce and they are both chewy and satisfying--you can't really go wrong there. We've also had the double cooked pork which is a bit too greasy for me, but goes nicely with the cabbage it's cooked with. The bubble tea is literally milk in tea and you can get it with sago pearls but I don't think they have the black boba. They give you hot tea, black vinegar, and chili sauce with your meal, though I've never had to add anything--the soup's perfectly seasoned to my taste. They charge $1.50 per person if you dine in, which I think is interesting, instead of a tip. But you can always tip more. Cash only. I wouldn't recommend coming in a big group because they can get overwhelmed easily and you'll end up waiting longer.

First, love the name lol. There are mom and pop shops, and then there are Grandmom and Grandpop shops like this. About a 12 minute drive from Prudential center after a late afternoon game on a Sunday and was able to find street parking just fine. Walked in and Grandma was cleaning some tables and said hello as I walked in. A true hole in the wall type place, really unassuming from the outside, but it felt homey and warm inside. Grandpop was in the back doing some dishes and I ordered the hand pulled noodles with pork, hand knife sliced noodles with spicy meat and then a hand pull noodle soup with beef. If you've never had hand pulled/knife cut noodles like this before, then try the hand pulled ones first. The knife cut are thick and while I enjoy it, maybe not the best thing to try your first time. Regardless, taste of the dishes and texture of the noodles were perfect. A ton of food actually, in which each dish averages around $12-$15 so my bill came out to $45 and left a tip to round it up to $50. I was craving this type of food since there's not a lot of variety near home, so I'm glad I stopped by. I really enjoyed all the dishes as the soup had a very tasty deep flavor and I was able to heat up the minced meat and noodle dish the next day. It was just as delicious. Support your local businesses! I will be back to Lucky Foo next time I'm craving some noodles!

Mom and Pop restaurant with excellent Chinese noodle dishes and a couple of meat dishes. The hand pulled noodle soup is delicious - thick, Al dente noodles in a creamy broth. The cold noodles have a stellar combination of salty, tangy and sour from the pickled vegetables. The pork and cabbage is delicious as well - tender, melt in your mouth pork belly complimented by spicy and crunch cabbage. I couldn't find their phone number for takeout, but not to worry, they had my order ready in less than five minutes. I'll be back again.

Great beef noodle soups! However, it is cash only. The owners are trying to sell the business. Come enjoy the traditional Chinese cuisine before they close the shop.
